Treasure Chest Thursday — 1692 Marriage of Edmund Rice and Ruth Parker in Marlborough, Massachusetts

It’s Treasure Chest Thursday – an opportunity to look in my digital picture information to see what treasures I can discover for my household historical past and family tree musings.

The treasure at present is the Marriage entry for Edmund Rice and Ruth Parker in Marlborough in 1692 within the Torrey’s Marriages guide:

The wedding entry is  the third  one from the underside of the web page:

The transcription of this file is:

“RICE, Edmund (1663-1726) & Ruth PARKER, Roxbury; 15 Nov 1692; Marlborough {Court docket Rec. 1:218; Rice (#1) 8,35; Wells (#5) 138; Cross Anc. 93; Warner-Harrington 544]

The supply quotation for this file is:

“New England Marriages to 1700,” on-line database with digital pictures, (New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2008), web page 1265, Edmund Rice and Ruth Parker marriage entry, 15 November 1692.

That is an entry in a digitized printed guide for marriages in Massachusetts, which was collected by Clarence Almon Torrey from city file books and different information.  It’s a Spinoff Supply with Secondary Data and Direct Proof of the wedding of Edmund Rice and Ruth Parker.
Edmund Rice (1663-1726) was the son of Samuel and Elizabeth (King) Rice of Marlborough, Massachusetts.  He married Ruth Parker (1672-1726), the daughter John and Sarah (–?–) Parker of Roxbury, on 15 November 1692 in Marlborough.

Edmund and Ruth (Parker Rice are my seventh great-grandparents, by means of their daughter Dinah Rice (1693-1725) who married Nathan Brigham (1693-1784)  in 1717.
