Here is mine:

My identify is Randall Jeffrey Seaver, and I’m presently 77 years outdated.  I reside in Chula Vista, California, and am married to Linda (for 51+ years).  She presently is a resident of a reminiscence care facility in Chula Vista after a fall and damaged hip in June.  I go to her day by day for as much as an hour.  We now have two daughters, and 5 grandchildren, however they reside in Orange County (100 miles away) and Santa Cruz (500 miles away) and go to sometimes.

My each day actions are family tree and household historical past analysis (6 to 10 hours a day), watching San Diego Padres baseball video games within the MLB season, watching San Diego/L.A. Chargers video games within the NFL season, consuming, and making an attempt to sleep 7 hours a day (typically not succeeding).  I began my family tree running a blog “profession” in 2006.

I retired from aerospace engineering in 2006, after 40 years of labor as an engineer, supervisor, supervisor and workers engineer.  My specialties had been aerodynamics evaluation, together with computational fluid dynamics, and turbofan engine efficiency evaluation and testing.  I spent 37 of these years at Rohr Industries in Chula Vista, and traveled all over the world on firm enterprise.

My formal schooling began at Brooklyn Elementary College in San Diego in 1948, then Theodore Roosevelt Junior Excessive, and San Diego Excessive College, graduating in June 1961.  I attended San Diego State College as an aerospace engineering main, graduating in January 1966.  Whereas at Rohr, I attended a post-graduate administration course – Government Perspective for Scientists and Engineers (EPSE) – at College of California San Diego in 1988.

I used to be born in 1943 in Nationwide Metropolis, California, the primary little one of Frederick Walton and Betty Virginia (Carringer) Seaver.  Fred was born in Massachusetts to Frederick Walton and Alma Bessie (Richmond) Seaver, and Betty was born in 1919 in San Diego to Lyle Lawrence and Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer.  I met my paternal grandmother as soon as, and lived shut by my maternal grandparents up till 1951.  The primary house that I keep in mind is 2119 thirtieth Road in San Diego, a second ground condo in the home that Lyle’s mother and father constructed within the Eighteen Nineties.

The spotlight of my life is my marriage with Linda.  We married on 21 March 1970 in Chula Vista within the Presbyterian Church we nonetheless attend.  We had two daughters born in 1974 and 1976.  We traveled fairly a bit all by means of our married life – first to trip spots, then household holidays with our youngsters, then family tree journeys, conferences and cruises.  The women did nicely at school, performed softball (and I coached!), went to varsity, work onerous, married, and have kids and houses of their very own.  The 5 grandchildren are treasured to us – jewels within the crown, so to talk – and there’s a lot love, vitality, and promise in them.

That is the story of my life to date!  Ding – ding – ding – my 5 minutes are up!
